His passion for BIM extends beyond the workplace and has seen Graham developing strong industry ties to the Christchurch Polytechnic, providing industry input into NZDE and BEngTech engineering qualifications at local and national level. He has also been involved as a committee member and regular presenter for the South Island BIM group (BIMsiNZ) since 2010 and is a regular contributor to BIM conferences and collaboration working parties through the Australasian region.
Graham entered the world of engineering in 1984 as a Fitter and Turner with Hamilton Jet. On completion of his trade he moved into civil engineering design where over the last 30 years he has worked on a vast array of civil and structural projects.
Career highlights to date are documentation of Pacific Tower, Christchurch’s tallest building and Christchurch Adventure Park structures and zipline attraction.
Lifelong goal of staying fit enough to keep up with his wife and 2 sons (failing badly). Highly competitive, will give any sport a go but in particular enjoys trail running, kayaking and mountain biking with a touch of tennis and golf.
