Graham Allan

Graham entered the world of engineering in 1984 as a Fitter and Turner. On completion of his trade he moved into civil engineering design where over the last 25 years he has worked on a vast array of civil and structural projects.

In addition to being a director of Structex Harvard, Graham heads our CAD design team and has significant experience in project management, contributing to the project design with practical construction knowledge, and finding innovative methods to enhance the project documentation process

Graham has developed strong industry ties to the Christchurch polytechnic and provides industry input into NZDE and BEngTech engineering qualifications at local and national level. Passionate about Revit and the world of BIM, currently chairman and regular presenter at the South Island BIM group (BIMsiNZ), Also a member of CollaborateANZ and BIM in NZ which are working groups looking at BIM standards and development in NZ & Australia.

Lifelong goal of staying fit enough to keep up with his wife and 2 teenage boys. Highly competitive, will give any sport a go but in particular enjoys trail running, kayaking and mountain biking with a touch of tennis and golf.
