David Southwick

David joined the Structex team as a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the structural engineering industry. He began working as a Structural Draughtsman before completing a Structural Engineering degree at the University of Canterbury. Most recently, he has been overseeing projects that include the assessment of earthquake damaged structures, complex residential buildings, low to mid-rise commercial buildings and less orthodox structures including suspension cables. Outside of work, most of his summer weekends are spent sailing in Cass Bay where he lives with his partner and two teenage children.
