Structex was engaged to provide the structural design of the playground, pool, splash pad & family area located at the New Brighton beachfront which formed part of the greater New Brighton regeneration project.

The original New Brighton whale pool & playground held a special place in the heart of the local community for many years, but was in desperate need for an overhaul. This multi-faceted fast-track project required Structex to collaborate with many other designers and project stakeholders to develop a modern facility which also mirrors the past – including a clone of the original whale!
